Daedelus - Only for the Heartstrings
Daedelus is an experimental artist hailing from California, has recently released this new album, Love to Make Music to (he’s pretty active, actually, there are several newer releases since this listed on his site). This song, one of my favorites on the album, is vaguely reminiscent of Basement Jaxx’s older music, in its somewhat unusual layering of samples. A more industrial instrument grinds out the rhythm, while vocals and (what would seem to be) flutes float up in the background, and a crisp, rapid percussion crawls up the sides.
